Ingredients
2 cans chickpeas
Juice of 2 lemons
4–5 tbsp tahini
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin
2–3 cloves garlic
Extra liquid from the chickpeas (as needed)
Method
Drain the chickpeas, reserving some of the liquid.
Add the chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, salt, cumin, and garlic to a food processor.
Blend until smooth.
Add a little of the reserved chickpea liquid as needed to achieve your desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasoning if required.
Serve with pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Storage: Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
